Located on the north east of Burrow Head, about three miles from the separate village of Whithorn.

The village has a long history of Christianity, with the 13th-century Saint Ninian’s Chapel located here, once a stopping point for pilgrims landing on Isle Head.

It is believed that up until the 16th-17th centuries, the Isle was an actual an island, with the main street originally a causeway.

Isle of Whithorn is a 35 minute drive from Minnow Cottage.
